Packaging Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Packaging Manager to lead our packaging operations at To Øl City. This role is ideal for someone with strong managerial experience, a hands-on understanding of beer packaging, and a passion for leading and developing people.

To Øl is a Danish craft brewery founded in 2010 with a mission to push the boundaries of modern beer. We brew bold, creative, and high-quality beers—ranging from hoppy IPAs and crisp lagers to complex and experimental one-offs. Our focus is on flavor, innovation, and brewing without compromise. In 2019, we opened To Øl City—a 26,000 m² production facility in a repurposed food factory in Svinninge, Western Zealand.

To Øl City is more than a brewery; it’s our creative and collaborative hub for brewing, barrel-aging, packaging, and future-forward food and beverage production. What does this role involve?

As Packaging Manager, you’ll oversee a team of 9 operators and take responsibility for day-to-day production, team development, and process improvement. You’ll work closely with our Brewmaster, Tamar Banner, and collaborate across departments to ensure we deliver excellent beer safely and efficiently, every time.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop a team of 9 packaging operators

• Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Plan personnel schedules, track hours, and manage daily staffing

• Coordinate production schedules with the Supply Chain Manager

• Facilitate communication between packaging, brewing, warehouse, and quality teams

• Participate in daily/weekly cross-department meetings

• Step in on the floor during absences or holidays when needed

• Drive quality, safety, and efficiency standards

• Lead equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

• Track and reduce downtime, waste, and production bottlenecks

• Create training resources and build the team’s technical knowledge

• Work directly with equipment suppliers to resolve issues and train operators

What We’re Looking For

• 3 or more years proven leadership experience in a brewery or beverage production setting

• Strong coaching skills with a passion for people and team development

• Technical understanding of packaging lines and machinery

• Fluent in English (Danish is a plus, not required)

• Calm, flexible, and solution-focused mindset
