Accounting Assistant (Student)
We are looking for a talented accounting-focused student for our finance function who supports the entire organization with day-to-day bookkeeping, recording cash transactions, performing bank reconciliations, and other critical financial tasks.
To Øl is a young Danish craft brewery founded in 2010. We are striving to deliver the highest quality beer and get it into the hands of people in the most sustainable way. In 2019, we acquired the old Beauvais factory in Svinninge, where we established a modern brewery. We brew a wide range of different beers, and our commitment to quality and innovation has enabled us to export our products to more than 31 countries.

We are searching for an accounting-focused student to perform the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, as a critical support role of the finance function and overall organization. This position requires 15-20 hours per week, potentially more depending on your availability.
Key responsibilities include:
General ledger reconciliations related to month-end, such as accounts payable
Payroll bookkeeping and reconciliations
Revenue recognition
Employee cards
Month-end-close task completion, as outlined in a checklist
Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks and special projects as needed
You will be working in SAP and e-conomic, making postings and reconciliations within the system. This will provide you with valuable experience working with 2 of the most commonly used ERP systems in Denmark and the world.
You will work report directly to our Head of Finance, James Parsons. The position will consider both applicants in Copenhagen or Svinninge.

You have completed, or are in the final year of, your bachelors degree with a focus on accounting and/or finance. Masters students are also encouraged to apply.
General understanding of accounting, such as understanding debits, credits, and performing reconciliations, as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Excellence in task management and task completion, as the daily bookkeeping and month-end close responsibilities in a timely manner are critical in running the business.
Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack. Additionally, familiarity with SAP is a strong plus but not required.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Professional fluency in English.
